Frequently Asked Questions
What is the main material used in this insulation product?
This insulation is produced with nitrile rubber as the main raw material, foamed into a highly flexible rubber-plastic heat-insulating material featuring completely closed bubbles.
What is the operating temperature range for this insulation material?
According to industry-standard testing (GB/T 17794-1999), this rubber-plastic material is designed to operate safely within a temperature range of -50°C to 110°C.
How does this product improve building energy efficiency?
It offers exceptionally low thermal conductivity (ranging from ≤0.030 W/(m.k) at -20°C to ≤0.036 W/(m.k) at 40°C), which minimizes heat loss/gain and keeps buildings warmer in winter and cooler in summer.
Does this insulation offer fire resistance and safety features?
Yes, the material meets Class 0 and Class 1 fire ratings (BS 476 Part 6 & 7), has a Flame Spread and Smoke Developed Index of 25/50 (ASTM E 84), and features an oxygen index of ≥36.
Is this material suitable for damp or moisture-prone environments?
Absolutely. The closed-cell structure provides high moisture resistance, with a water vapor permeability of ≤0.91×10 ﹣¹³ Kg/(m.s.pa) and a water absorption rate of 20% by volume.
Does this material resist environmental wear, UV, and mold?
Yes, according to standard test methods, it shows good resistance to fungi (ASTM 21), ozone (GB/T 7762-1987), and UV/weathering (ASTM G23), ensuring long-term durability.
