Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What are the primary applications of this rubber plastic insulation?
This material is primarily applied to chilled water pipes, condense pipes, air ducts, and hot-water pipes of air-conditioning equipment. It is also ideal for central air-conditioning systems and various other cold or hot medium piping systems.
What is the thermal conductivity of this insulation material?
The thermal conductivity is low, ensuring highly effective thermal loss reduction. Tested under ASTM C 518, the thermal conductivity values are ≤0.030 W/(m.k) at -20°C, ≤0.032 W/(m.k) at 0°C, and ≤0.036 W/(m.k) at 40°C.
Is this pipe insulation fire resistant?
Yes, it features excellent fireproof capabilities. It meets BS 476 Part 6 & Part 7 standards with a Class 0 & Class 1 Fire Rating, and holds an oxygen index of ≥36 (GB/T 2406, ISO4589).
What temperature range can this insulation support?
According to the GB/T 17794-1999 test standard, the material has a safe working temperature range from -50°C to 110°C, making it suitable for both cold and hot systems.
How does this product perform against environmental factors like moisture and weather?
Due to its closed-cell structure, the insulation offers outstanding moisture resistance with a water vapor permeability factor (μ) of ≥10000. It also shows good resistance to fungi, ozone, U.V., and general weathering conditions.
