Wholesale elastomeric NBR/PVC rubber foam thermal insulation tape Manufacturers, Factory

KingWrap is made of high-quality Kingflex Insulation, an elastomeric thermal insulation material. The self-adhering tape is supplied in convenient strip form, 2″(50mm) wide, 33′ & 49’ (10 & 15 m) long, and 1/8″(3mm) thick. No bands, wires, or additional adhesive needed. Available in standard cartons and tape dispensers. The expanded closed-cell structure of Kingflex makes it an efficient insulation. It is manufactured without the use of CFC’s, HFC’s or HCFC’s It is also formaldehyde free ,low VOCs, fiber free, dust free and resists mold and mildew.

Product Description

Product Performance

KingWrap provides a fast, easy method of insulating pipes and fittings. It is designed to control condensation drip on domestic cold-water, chilled-water, and other cold piping bonded with metal surfaces.

It actively reduces heat loss when applied to hot-water lines operating up to 180°F (82°C). For comprehensive thermal control, KingWrap can be used in conjunction with compatible pipe and sheet insulation.

Its greatest operational advantage is the ease with which it insulates short lengths of pipe and fittings located in congested or hard-to-reach areas.

Application Instructions
  • Installation Method: Apply KingWrap by removing the release paper as the tape is spirally bonded to the metal surfaces.
  • Cold Piping: Use a sufficient number of wraps to maintain the outer insulation surface temperature above the dew point of the surrounding air to control sweating.
  • Hot Lines & Dual-Temp Lines: Wrap according to the desired level of heat loss control. For dual-temperature lines, wrapping adequate to control sweating during the cold cycle is typically sufficient for the heating cycle. Multiple wraps are recommended.
  • Spiral Wrap & Overlap: Apply tape with a spiral wrap to achieve a 50% overlap. Additional layers can be applied to reach the required insulation thickness.
  • Fittings & Valves: Cut small pieces of tape to size and press them firmly into place, ensuring no metal remains exposed. Over-wrap the entire assembly with longer lengths for durability.

Frequently Asked Questions

QWhat are the main functions of KingWrap?

KingWrap is designed to insulate pipes and fittings. It prevents condensation and dripping on domestic cold-water, chilled-water, and other cold piping, and reduces heat loss on hot-water lines operating up to 180°F (82°C).

QHow do I apply KingWrap to piping surfaces?

KingWrap is applied by peeling away the release backing paper and wrapping the tape spirally around the metal surfaces. It is recommended to use a spiral wrap that ensures a 50% overlap, adding layers to reach the desired thickness.

QHow many wraps of insulation tape are required?

For cold piping, apply enough wraps to keep the outer insulation surface temperature above the ambient dew point to control sweating. For hot lines, wrap density depends on the desired level of heat loss control. On dual-temperature lines, wraps sufficient to control cold-cycle sweating are typically adequate for the heating cycle.

QCan KingWrap be used on complex fittings and valves?

Yes. For valves, tees, and fittings, cut small pieces of the tape to fit and press them firmly onto the metal, ensuring no bare surfaces are exposed. Then, over-wrap the area with longer lengths of tape to secure the application.

QCan KingWrap be used with other insulation products?

Yes, KingWrap can be used effectively on its own or in conjunction with compatible pipe and sheet insulation systems, especially in tight, congested, or hard-to-reach areas.

QAre the performance specifications and test results guaranteed?

No. Because end-use conditions vary and cannot be controlled, the published technical data serves as a guide. Users should perform independent testing to confirm safety, suitability, and fitness for their specific applications.
