Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What are the main advantages of NBR Elastomeric Insulation Rubber Foam?
It features a low density, even closed bubble structure, which offers low thermal conductivity, excellent cold resistance, low water absorption, sound absorption, and superb flexibility for easy installation.
What is the operating temperature range for this NBR foam insulation?
The NBR elastomeric insulation is designed to operate effectively within a temperature range of -50°C to 110°C, verified by GB/T 17794-1999 test methods.
Does this insulation material have fire safety certifications?
Yes, it achieves Class 0 and Class 1 fire ratings according to BS 476 Part 6 and Part 7 standards. It also features a flame spread and smoke developed index of 25/50 under ASTM E 84, and an oxygen index of ≥36.
Is the NBR insulation tube suitable for outdoor applications?
Yes. The technical parameters demonstrate good resistance to ozone (GB/T 7762-1987), fungi (ASTM 21), and U.V./weathering (ASTM G23), making it highly durable against environmental exposure.
What piping types can the elastomeric foam tubes fit?
These extruded flexible tubes are specially sized to fit standard industrial diameters of copper, steel, and PVC piping, ensuring tight and efficient heat insulation.
