Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
What is the operating temperature range for these elastomeric insulation tubes?
The elastomeric insulation tubes perform reliably within an operating temperature range of -50 °C to 110 °C, making them highly versatile for both freezing and high-temperature pipeline configurations.
What are the primary raw materials used in this insulation material?
This product is manufactured using high-quality butyronitrile rubber and polyvinyl chloride (NBR/PVC) as the main raw materials, ensuring a soft texture and optimal flexible insulation performance.
What fire ratings do these insulation tubes satisfy?
The material is certified fire-resistant, complying with BS 476 Part 6 and Part 7 to achieve Class 0 & Class 1 fire ratings, and has an oxygen index of ≥36.
How does the closed-cell foam structure improve insulation performance?
The independent closed foam structure provides excellent resistance to water vapor transmission (permeability ≤0.91×10 ﹣¹³ Kg/(m.s.pa)) and ensures exceptionally low thermal conductivity, keeping thermal transfer to a minimum.
Where are these flexible insulation tubes typically applied?
They are widely applied for the thermal insulation of various water and steam pipelines in central air-conditioning freezers, commercial buildings, ships, vehicles, and other industrial settings.
Does this insulation material resist mold and environmental weathering?
Yes, this insulation material demonstrates good resistance to mold/fungi, ozone, UV rays, and general weathering conditions under testing guidelines such as ASTM 21 and ASTM G23.
